The best scannable orientation for the QR code is to be laid flat on a surface and squared to your camera's lens while scanning.
If you experience that our app can’t scan any of your QR codes, it is likely that you are using low resolution camera. Please use a device equipped higher resolution camera. Almost all newer smart phones are capable of scanning your QR codes.
If you experience that our app can scan some of your QR codes but not all, remember all you need is a threshold of the slices for a recovery. If our app can’t scan a QR code, simply scan other QR codes in the set and you are be able recover your confidential information as long as you have a threshold in your position.
If you can’t reach threshold because your camera is having difficulty scanning a QR code, probably it is either really damaged or stored in a folded manner. Unfortunately not much can be done if your QR code is badly damaged. However the crease from the fold can be flattened by placing it under a flat clear glass, but try to avoid reflections while scanning.
Important: If one or more of QR codes in your set is lost or damaged, we strongly recommend that you replace them by creating a new set and then destroying the old one.
Some older model cell phones do not allow the Xecret app to scann the QR codes when there his a high amount of data stored within them. Not to worry, you can use your cell phone camera to retreive the data and then manually enter it into the Xecret's recovery tool.
